Birds And Beas Blog: Everything Will Be Alright...

Yikes-A-Bee...

Okay, so this past week was a bust when it came to blogging and for that there's no excuse. I did however have a really bust last few days. We had dinner with Ben's family on Saturday to sorta celebrate our engagement and once we did that and changed our respective facebook statuses the well wishers came pouring in, people we know and love and people we haven't seen since high school. Needless to say, this wedding business is already becoming a little overwhelming and between the planning and work... fewf. I'm pretty wiped. Ben and I booked our wedding location this morning and go to put our deposit down on Thursday. Unfortunately, the date we'd wanted (June 16th) was taken so we had to book it for the 7th instead which is actually fine with me as I'd originally wanted to do it on the 5th. It all works out in the end.
In another turn of event, my parents are offering to go halfers with Ben's on buying us a house for our wedding gift. A little extravagant if you ask me but that could just be because I'll miss our apartment. It was the first place we really lived together and the first place other than the dorms that I ever lived by myself. Sad.
I am excited and very grateful about the prospective of a house though as Ben and I do want to have a family of some sort eventually.
