As we speak I'm sitting in Montecito where the weather is more than lovely. I've really missed the sunshine, Vancouver has been nothing but rain for weeks now. Those of you who have been following the blog know that my brother has been having a hard time recently but I was pleasantly surprised to see how amazing he's doing. When I arrived on Friday, I was a little bit afraid that everything would be everywhere and my brother would be tied up in a corner while the kids chase each other in circles around him. That was not the case. They all seem to be adjusting really well. For that I am grateful and forever in awe of my big brother.
Yesterday, Kae and I spent the day with the kids, walking around Santa Barbara, having lunch at C'est Cheese (mmm truffle grilled cheese) and cake at Lilac Patisserie.
Later, Kae and I left the kids with their new nanny (who is awesome by the way!) and went out to dinner at the Lark where we shared the cheese board, the house made charcuterie board and the house made gnocchi with dungeness crab. It ended up being a lot of food but we were up to the task. Everything was delicious and the staff was great, even if it was packed.
Today, we're keeping it close to the house... I think there might be plans to see 'Zootopia' later, which I think look hilarious.
I haven't forgot about the retail therapy session that I promised. It is coming and there will be lots of Orla Kiely on it (Woo hoo!).

(Ps. Guess who's headed to Disneyland on Tuesday? Kae booked us a week at the Disneyland Hotel. Sooo looking forward to it!)
