The City Lights And Restless Nights...

Hi there,

It's been so hot the last couple days, I feel like I'm melting. We've been keeping it pretty low-key around here. Ben and I did get away for a bit to Manhattan over the weekend to see some friends who were throwing a party to celebrate their new art project. We went up on Thursday and had dinner with my cousin Hannah -who is seriously ready to explode- and her husband James. After that we mainly just hung out around the city, did a little shopping and what-not. It was nice.
Now that we're back we've just been doing family things. I can't believe that the summer is already almost over. It always seems to go by so fast. I hate that. Tonight we're watching an as of yet undecided movie on the projector, I'll let you know what we decide. Hope you are all having a great summer.

(Ps. Ben and I just ordered out Ryan Adams tickets for when he hits Vancouver in November! Can't freakin' wait. Last time we saw him was when he came with Oasis and I nearly got in a fist fight with some blonde biker chick who kept getting in my grill. Which would have been fine if we had been in the open floor but it was seated for goodness sake. Rude! I have promised Ben that I will refrain from making any wife of a man whom could kick his ass angry. I think that's fair.)

I've Got A Really Good Heart, I Just Can't Catch A Break...

Hi everyone!

As promised, I have a huge outfit update for you all. Below is a look at what I've been wearing the last ten days. On the 11th all us sibs went out for dinner. It's really nice now that Willa is old enough to come out with us... she's still not drinking age but we don't really drink anyway. It's just nice. I love my siblings so much and I've been enjoying getting to know Willa's boyfriend Dan who is very nice and appears to think Willa is the cat's pyjamas (totally agree!). Kae, Vik, Ben and I went out the next night for dinner which was awesome. It's not very often that they get a night without the kids. I'm always forgetting how freakin' funny Kae is and if you get him and Ben together... they had Vik and I rolling in our seats a couple times. On the 16th Ben and I had a date night, something that we haven't done in a while. It was really nice, just dinner and a movie.
Finally, mom's birthday was yesterday and we all went out to dinner before coming home and watching 'Barefoot In The Park' on dad's projector. Such a good movie!
Anyway, that's what's been going on around here. Inter spliced of course with many outings to the beach, a couple shopping sprees and about ten pounds of ice cream. During this time I've also finished my fall line which I posted about a couple days ago and finished reading 'If I Stay' by Gail Foreman which was pretty good.
