There's A Key On My Piano That I Play For You...

Hi everyone!

So, we're home now and Vancouver is just as beautiful as I remember it. I always like the first couple days home from a holiday, I'm always really grateful that this is my home. Of course I'll miss my family but I just love being in my own house.
The day before our last day in New York was Ben's 28th birthday and to celebrate he and I went out to dinner and had a couple (*cough* a lot *cough*) of drinks. It was really fun and after I'm done here, I'll be posting what I got him this year, so look out for that.
The next night we had a farewell dinner with my family at home. It was a really good time and I shed a few tears (of course). We flew home the next day and had a quiet night at home, unpacking and doing laundry. On the 26th we went and had dinner with Ben's family to celebrate his birthday belatedly. And since then I've just been doing end of summer things... re-organizing our closets and getting ready to go back to work. Ben is flying out to London next week for work for I'll be alone in house for a couple weeks. I don't really mind. The first few weeks of work is always a bit stressful so it's probably safer for Ben if he's out of the country.
Anyway, below is the outfit post you're actually here for. I got a few days this time but not as many as have become the norm around here. Promise to be better in the fall. Look out for Ben's birthday loot post and just generally enjoy your day.

Cassie Dances Madly Like A Boxing Kangaroo Spinnin' On The Spot...

Hi there...

How much trouble am I in? Forgive me, things have just been so crazy as the summer begins to wind down. Let me see... what's been happening?... My cousin finally had her twins on the 12th so we all welcomes little Clover and Sadie into the world. Hannah was overjoyed to have it be over which I totally don't blame her, I can't imagine being pregnant with twins. Hannah's older daughter Alma was super jazzed to be a big sister and already mothers them like crazy.
Other than that it's really just been summer stuff. All the siblings (Kae, Willa and I) went out to dinner on the first which was fun. Nights like that used to just be Kae and I but with Willa old enough now it's even better.
Mom took all us girls out for shopping and a special dinner on the 6th. That was really fun. I know that we see each other quite often but I love it when we're all together and totally miss the days when we were together everyday. I guess that's what happens when you grow up.
We all had a Robin Williams movie marathon when he died. It was a very sad day for us all, especially me and Kae as 'The Dead Poet's Society' has always been one of out all time favourites. My love and prayers go out to his family. I know that he's in a better place now.
Ben, Kae and Willa's boyfriend Daniel have really seemed to bond this summer which Willa is beyond thrilled about.
Sunday is Marley's birthday so that is gonna be really fun. We're all gonna get dressed up and have a dinner picnic on the beach if the weather agrees which I'm sure it will as it's been beautiful lately.
Yeah... that's about it.
In other news I have a super, super, super huge outfit update for you all. Like so long that I am gonna split it up again. Sorry. I hope you're all having a super fun summer and hope that you haven't completely forgotten about me in my absence. I adore you all.

Can't You See The Sky Is Not The Limit No More?...

Hi everyone!

Longtime no see. Sorry, I've just been crazy busy. The past couple weeks have just been go, go, go. The last Friday in June, Ben and I went into Manhattan for the weekend because some friends and I were having a party. I actually had a really good time. It was really nice to see everyone. While we were in the city we did a bit of shopping and general good timing. Last week mom, Willa, Ruby and I all went to see 'The Fault In Our Stars'. I know, we were shockingly behind the ball seeing it but we just never got around to it before. I'm not entirely sure that I liked it. Don't get me wrong, I blubbered like a school girl but I don't know, I feel like they totally missed the whole point of the book when they took out a lot of Gus' decline. My mother on the other hand was very happy that they did soft soak it a little as she was crying so bad that I thought we were gonna have to leave at one point and continued to cry for about an hour afterwards... see, I come by it honestly.
We had a lovely 4th of July, dad fired up the barbecue, both my aunts were there as well as my extremely pregnant cousin Hannah and her daughter Alma. It was nice to see them all. Seriously though, I hope the twins come soon or Hannah is gonna explode.
That Saturday, I accompanied my father to this very fancy gala at which he received a philanthropy award which was very cool, I was so proud. I got to wear an incredible Jenny Packham dress that dad bought me for the occasion. The event itself was a little stodgy but hey, it was corporate so... It was funny to see all the stuffed shirts with their trophy wives. Cliches are cliches for a reason.
Yeah, other than that we've just been doing our summer things. Oh! I think you'll notice this yourself but I've recently decided to pare down my look a little. It's still very me, just a little fresher. It's something I've been thinking about for a while and was already headed in that direction but a couple weeks ago I broke my absolutely favourite Kate Spade sunglasses which was very sad but it allowed me to brake out a pair of Orla Kiely sunglasses that I bought forever ago. Between those and the new earrings I bought at Steven Alan a little while ago, these adorably fresh seed pearl studs, I'd say a bit of a change was demanded. Let me know what you think, I've been a little unsure but overall I'm pretty happy with the way it's been heading. I hope you guys are all having an amazing summer and I'm gonna try to update a but more regularly... no promises of course but I'll try!

Don't They Love You In Mysterious Ways...

Hi guys!

Man, okay... where to start?... I've been having such a good time just hanging out with the fam and relaxing that this here blog has completely slipped my mind. I've done a lot of shopping this week with mom and Willa but then what else is new? Kae and I took Oscar to see 'Maleficent' on Sunday which was pretty awesome. I'm not ashamed to say that I got a little choked up in parts and also can I just say that Sam Riley is a bit of a babe? I loved him in 'Control' too. Dad finally broke out the projector which took a lot longer to happen then I expected. We watched 'Breakfast At Tiffany's' per Ruby's request the other night... they just don't make 'em like that anymore.
Anyway, as I said, just normal hanging out stuff... oh! Dad is getting some sort of award next friday and mom can't go to the dinner so I volunteered to go with... it's a gala like event so I get to dress up! That's pretty exciting. I'll let you know what I decide to wear when it gets a little closer. Ben and I are going up to Manhattan on the weekend as some friends of our are having a party so... that'll be fun. We'll go in Friday and spend the whole weekend so I'm sure I'll return with an armful of bags. So yeah... Below I have a big back log of outfits for you. I'm also working on something I plan on posting either tonight or tomorrow so keep an eye out for that. Hope you guys are well and enjoying the early summer.

I'll Be Your Master Defender...

Hi everyone!

Okay so I've been bad... I know it... Blame Willa, whom has had me watching 'Lost' every night since we got here. I'm terrible with TV shows. Once I start watching, just one episode, I absolutely have to know what happens. It's a terrible sickness that had me watching 'True Blood' for four bloody seasons before I finally put that stick down. Anyway, I've been doing that in the evenings and hanging with my amazing family in the daytime. And speaking of Willa, it was her birthday on Monday... I'll be following this post here with a look at what I got her for her birthday. For now, I have a massive outfit post for you including what I wore to my own birthday dinner (on June 12th) as well as what I wore when Ben, Kae, Vik, Daniel (Willa's boyfriend. More on that later...) and I went out for Willa's birthday. Hope you are all enjoying yourselves as much as I am.
