Affordable Friday Pt. 3...

That's right folks...

This feature is back, and back with a vengeance. For those of you who don't remember, Affordable Friday is when I give you a look at my favourite items that cost less than $100. Usually, I only show five but since it's been so long since my last one of these (not since last may!) I decided that you've earned a little extra... for being so patient with my annoying lack of work effort on the blog. I really do love you.
-Bea

(Ps. I know this week's theme isn't really appropriate for the weather but spring is coming damn it! And it's coming soon.)

This Week's Theme: Funny, Sunny Little Honey
(Click the link to get your own)

Item 1

Where: ModCloth
Price: $89.99
Why: I love things that tie at the shoulder like this, I think it's very sexy. I like the wrap style of the bodice because it's super flattering, on everyone! Add the polka-dot print and the pretty coral/pink color and you've got yourself a winner. Pair it with a white pointelle cardi and some cat faced flats and you're ready to go.

Item 2

Where: ModCloth
Price: $37.99
Why: It's all about the print. It's so much like the Orla Kiely one from last summer. I adore the color and it's easy fit would be perfect with say... the shorts below.

Item 3

Where: ModCloth
Price: $39.99
Why: I ADORE the bow waist band! Add the polka-dots and the color... yikes! Pair these bad-boys with the ship blouse above, you're trusty cat flats and a white flower statement necklace. How amazingly summer chic does that sound? Plus only the coolest girls do pattern on pattern.

Item 4

Where: ModCloth
Price: $44.99
Why: Isn't this amazing? I love bags that are shaped like things, I think that may be where my obsession with Kate Spade started. This bag is soo Kate Spade. I imagine it with the pretty new white shorts Orla Kiely's showing for summer and my Charlotte Olympia's and a pretty pink blouse. Take this principal and apply to you're own summer whites.

Item 5

Where: ModCloth
Price: $29.99
Why: I like the asymmetrical sandal. Once more you can blame Parker Posey for it. And do I ever turn down one of my favourite styles in minty hues? Never!

Item 6

Where: ModCloth
Price: $54.99
Why: How adorable is this? It reminds me of the movie 'The Boat That Rocked/Pirate Radio' I can totally imagine lounging by the pool, rocking 'Sunny Afternoon' by The Kinks and drinking lemonade. This little guy plugs into your smart phone or i-pod and has a special rubber seal to stop anything from getting inside... plus... it's so pretty.

What A Life I Lead In The Summer, What A Life I Lead In The Spring...

Hello!

Today is in my opinion, the first day of fall. Every year on the first day of September, I begin to wear my fall clothes. It's my favourite day of the year... well, one of them anyway. Tuesday is my first day back to work and I couldn't be more excited. I know I was a little bummed about it last week but it's was only because I was sad to be leaving my family. Now that I'm here with my wardrobe freshly redone and my new curriculum sitting on my desk, I'm really excited. Below you will find the last  outfit of the summer from yesterday as well as today's first outfit of fall. Is anyone else as excited as I am for fall?
-Bea

(Ps. What do you think of the new look? I'm really happy with the way this season's theme turned out.)

What'll I Say Without You To Talk To...

Hi guys,

Fewf, what a day. I spent most of it packing to leave tomorrow and the rest of it really emotional. It's really sad when I have to go home. I miss my family so much, it's really hard. I'm just stressed knowing that I have to go back to work pretty soon after I get home, plus Ben is going on a trip for work a week after we get home, so I'll be right in the middle of my most stressful time of year...
Sorry if this post is a bit of a bummer but... Anyway, I am looking forward to getting out all my fall/winter clothes. That's right, as soon as we get back, I'm quarantining myself in the closet and packing everything summery away. I've had such a good time this summer but, it is time to go home. I hope that you guys had a good summer too.

Affordable Friday...

Hi there,

I'm back and with the second installment of my affordable Friday feature. So for those of you who don't know, I've chosen my top five favourite items this week under $100. Here they are...
-Bea

(Ps. stay tuned for a backlog of outfit posts)

This Week's Theme: Transportation
(Click the link to get your own)

Item 1

Where: Ruche
Price: $79.99
Why: As I always say, you can never go wrong with gingham and this one has the adorable bike print at the hem.

Item 2

Where: ASOS
Price: $57.41
Why: I know that this had nothing to do with the theme but it's really hard to find things that fit besides this would look really cute with the skirt below.

Item 3

Where: Mod Cloth
Price: $64.99
Why: I just adore the scooter print and the colours make it so wearable. Seriously, you could wear it with white or red or blue. So cute.

Item 4

Where: Mod Cloth
Price: $78.99
Why: Um... it's so 60's cute. Plus, Rory bought one like it for Lorelei on Gilmore Girls and I'm a huge fan!

Item 5

Where: Mod Cloth
Price: $64.99
Why: I just think that it's so cute and practical, the colour also happens to be incredible.
