Busy times around here. I've been lounging and snuggling and laughing and swimming and just generally having far too good a time to be chained to the computer. That said, today is my amazing mother's birthday! On this day 51 years ago in a town just outside of Sicily, my beautiful mother was born. My mother who gave me everything, from my breath to my thick Italian skin and my love for shopping. I simply adore this woman with every fibre of my being. So of course, I had to spoil her. Hi all!

So sorry. I have just started my grade 11 and 12 students' respective units on Shakespeare... all I can say is, if you've spent the past week listening to a bunch of little punks bastardize Shakespearean language, you wouldn't feel much like blogging either. It's all good though, I only have three more weeks to suffer through... ugh. Ben and I went for a bike ride/dinner picnic last night at a park near by us and it was completely lovely. I seriously, cannot wait until school is over. I have promised myself a lovely stay at my favourite Vancouver hotel and a trip top their amazing spa as soon as it's over. *sigh*
I hope you are all well and haven't been too cross with me for being absent. I honestly haven't had the energy to do anything after work but curl up with 'The White Princess' by Phillipa Gregory, something that doesn't require much thought at all. Hope your week was better than mine.

(Ps. Anyone else watch the Originals last night? It was an even better season finale than I could have imagined... I am not at all ashamed to say that I cried, nor am I ashamed to say that I got a little misty at Sunday night's Game Of Thrones either... I know, I have heart made of melted butter. Always have.)
