As I am now fully installed at my parents' summer house in the Hamptons, I feel like I finally have a moment to breathe and take some time to update here. As I said, things have been crazy. Even just the past month has been insane. Ben got a huge gig working for one of his favourite bands, so he was only here in the Hamptons for a week before he had to fly to London, meaning that I won't see him again until the end of August. I love seeing my family, but I really miss him already. One of my cousins' showed up unexpectedly last week, Mick is Hannah's little brother (my mom's sister's son) and he's always kind of been troubled... so we've all been kind of dealing with that. And! My mother decided to move back her annual summer party by a week, which means that it fell on my birthday, it also allowed for Ben and I to leave a week later so we got to see Sufjan Stevens play at the Orpheum before we left. We're huge fans and I was so excited. Like I said, things have been hectic.
Speaking of my mother's party, it's usually thrown in my nephew Oscar's honour (it's usually on his birthday) and he's like super super into Spongebob Squarepants right now so my mom decided to make the party a hawaiian theme. It was totally fun and as usual Ben and I played a set along with a few of our musician friends from New York. (I've included the set list below).

So yeah... things have settled down a bit now and we're all just relaxing. We went out to celebrate both mine and my little sister Ruby's birthday on the 11th, which was super fun. My sister Willa and her boyfriend Daniel are with us and we all went out to celebrate her birthday on the 19th after a family celebration on 18th which is her actual birthday. I know that I usually post a look at what I got everyone for their birthdays but like I said, I've just been too busy. Kae, Willa, Daniel and I are taking Oscar to see Jurassic World tonight which is gonna be amazing. Kae and I have always been huge Jurassic Park fans.
