You Can Do No Wrong, In My Eyes...

Hi there,

Sorry about yesterday's lack of movie Monday post... I got sucked into watching some sappy Valentine's Day movie on tv and then I got too tired. Sorry. I will post one next week though, and to make up for it, I have a huge outfit post for you all. Do you have plans for Valentine's Day? Ben said "Leave it to me" this year so... It could either be amazing or... well.

It Hurts To Say But I Want You To Stay...

Hi everyone...

Okay, so I know that you must be super pissed at me for my lack of presence here on the blog but I've been so out of sorts the last couple weeks. I've been super busy with work and by the time I get home, all I wanna do is curl up on the bed with my husband and watch episodes of Frasier. I've also been a little in the dumps lately because I've been missing my family something fierce, hence the Frasier. See, my dad is a huge fan. It's been his favourite show for a really long time and I have vivid memories of sitting on the couch with dad and watching when I was little. With mom it was always Friends. It was my father's fifty-ninth birthday on the 10th and suddenly at 12:00 am on the dot, I had a huge surge of daddy withdrawal syndrome. It's all okay though, because I called him four separate times that day just to make sure everything was going his way. Also between treating my withdrawal with massive Frasier marathons, I've been trying to content myself with the fact that I'll be seeing him soon but also that I'll be seeing that lovely mother and crazy brother of mine. I know that flying to New York for three days only to fly home and then fly back to New York just three weeks later is a little crazy but... what can I say?

Anyway the point to my diatribe is that I've been too busy and pathetic to blog. However! I'm here to make it up to you in a major, major way. Not only do I have an outfit post for you today but I have fourteen of them! That's right, you didn't miss-read and I didn't miss-type. Fourteen outfits for my lovely, lovely blogosphere friends. I have however decided to post them two parts. One post for each week sounds reasonable. Stay tuned...

We Are Not Perfect And We Are Not Norrmal, We Are Exceptional...

Hi there!

Okay, you may all be wondering what I'm doing posting at 1:00 on a Monday and the answer is this... PRO-D DAY!!!! I'm pretty damn excited... you are probably less excited I realize but I don't care. I've spent the morning doing the little things that I haven't been able to do for the past month. I cleaned our house personally (We actually have a cleaner who normally does it), I put the new bedding I bought on the beds in the guest rooms and cooked myself a Delicious lunch made up of a turkey caprese sandwich (recipe here) using the leftovers from the turkey I made on Saturday when Ben's sisters Pip, Jane and their male counterparts came over for dinner. Yum!

I've been working on my post showing you a bit of what's in my house... I know I've been promising this all summer but I really am getting closer to being finished. It's just that I keep adding things and changing things (I call it the re-design virus - which I believe I caught from my mother many years ago). I won't promise when it will be finished but I will promise that someday (hopefully soon) it will indeed be finished.

For now I have some outfit posts for you. I hope September rocked for you too and I also hope you're looking forward to Halloween, I have to dress up this year... any ideas?

(PS. Anyone else watch the Arcade Fire SNL Special? I did and suddenly I'm about a million times more excited for their new album (if that's even possible) and am in desperate need of Win's Kenzo eye print pants... weren't those so freakin' cool!? The only thing that could have made it better is if he were wearing them with nothing else... Iggy Pop style... sexy... and a little ridiculous.)

(PPS. I was thinking about adding a little feature to every outfit post, like a little blurb that talks a bit about the outfit, like where I got something or why I bought it... I don't know, it's still just an idea. What do you think?)

You Wouldn't Like Me If You Met Me...

Hi all...

So I meant to blog yesterday but I've been so busy dealing with my closet that I've barely had time to eat, let alone blog. I did however catch a little bit of the MTV VMA's while I worked and let me tell you... I despair for this generation. I was appalled my Miley Cyrus... I was so embarrassed for her that I had to leave the room til she was done, which Ben found to be hilarious. I cried like a baby at the Macklemore song, which I had never heard before... yes I am very out of the loop despite my hip younger sibling. It was very moving. I also quite enjoyed seeing Justin Timberlake bust a move on the stage, I have a weird fondness for him, I suppose it's my age.
Anyway, I am still working away at the closet but expect to be done in a couple hours when Ben and I are having dinner with his family to celebrate his belated birthday.
Below is the out fit I wore on the plane coming home from New York as well as what I've been wearing since and what I'll be wearing for dinner tonight.

(PS. Check out the luggage my aunt bought me as a wedding gift! It's amazing and it's much easier for summer packing compared to my old luggage. So stylish.)
