The Joy Of Gift Giving: Christmas 2014 - Pt. 4...

Hi again...

So this is all about the number one man in my life. My hubby, the love of my life, my sweet sweet treasure... Ben.
I did good this year. During the summer, I tried out a new style for him and it seems to have really stuck. This look really suits Ben and he seems to like it, which is something that doesn't happen often. He always wants to look way fancier than his job requires. I think that this is a good balance.
-Bea

(Ps. this is the last one until after we get back as we don't celebrate with Ben's family until then and my mom wanted a charity donation -and a really nice coat- this year.)

The Joy Of Gift Giving: Christmas 2014 - Pt. 3...

Hi there,

So my niece and nephew are notoriously spoiled at Christmas time and I'll admit that I'm the worst. It really is a problem. Every year I promise myself that I'll stick to my clothing only deal but every single year I end up getting them toys too. It's a sickness I swear. This year, Marley is all about Frozen so I made that a bit of a theme for her gifts.
-Bea

(Ps. the Frozen 'Kristoff' doll that I bought Marley looks EXACTLY like my cousin Mick did when he was a kid. It's almost freaky how much they look alike. The doll even has Micky's slightly angry eyebrows.)

The Joy Of Gift Giving: Christmas 2014 - Pt. 2

Okay so...

I honestly never have trouble shopping for my sisters. Willa and Ruby always look good in everything so when I'm out shopping for them I'm always like 'Ohh this is nice' and 'Oh my God this is amazing' and before I know it, I have enough to give them for the next three Christmases. This year was kind of the worst in a while because Ruby now fits into adult clothes so I decided to go to Kate Spade... BIG MISTAKE! I got her so much stuff.

As I promised...

This year, I'm starting with my brother because a) I don't think I've ever done a gift list for him before and b) I was so happy with his gifts it would just be a shame not to show them.
So without further adieu...

The Joy Of Gift Giving: Birthdays 2014 - Mom...

Hi guys!

Busy times around here. I've been lounging and snuggling and laughing and swimming and just generally having far too good a time to be chained to the computer. That said, today is my amazing mother's birthday! On this day 51 years ago in a town just outside of Sicily, my beautiful mother was born. My mother who gave me everything, from my breath to my thick Italian skin and my love for shopping. I simply adore this woman with every fibre of my being. So of course, I had to spoil her. Below is a look at the loot which I've spent the last two months carefully picking out and saving for just this very day. So happy birthday mom!

The Joy Of Gift Giving: Birthdays 2014 - Willa...

As promised...

My darling little sister Willa celebrated her 20th birthday on Monday! I can't believe how time flies. Anyway, my genius sister flew in from Cambridge on the 8th and brought a handsome young man with her. Daniel is a very sweet, quiet young dude who seems quite smitten. It's rather cute. To celebrate Willa's birthday, my brother and I, and our significant others took Willa and Daniel out for dinner before coming back to the house and hanging out with a couple drinks (shh...). This post is mostly to brag about how awesome Willa is but it's also so that you can see what I got her for her birthday... well technically it's from me and Kae because he never knows what to get her so I usually buy the stuff, he gives me half the money and we call it even. Willa recently watched 'Stoker' starring Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode and Nicole Kidman. It's kinda a vampire movie without vampires... that's the best way I can think to describe it. It was a really good movie, I totally recommend it and Willa went absolutely bonkers for the style, so when buying her gifts I tried to keep that movie in mind. Anyway... here's Willa's loot.
-Bea

(Ps. Another note on 'Lost'... is it just me or is Naveen Andrews a total babe? I think I may have blogged about this before but... he really is and I've always thought so. I blame 'The English Patient', when he had the long hair... sexy, sexy.)

He Died A Little Bit Each Time The Night Came In And The Stars Fell Over Michigan...

Hello All!

I realized this morning while I was looking at the blog, that for all my jibber-jabber about the party on Monday, I totally forgot to show you what I bought my nephew Oscar for his 7th birthday. I can't believe how fast he's growing up. I remember so clearly the day he was born, Kae was so nervous! Anyway, below is his loot as well as today's outfit post. That's right, I'm actually caught up this time! I know I can't believe it either. Today, the family and I are just spending time around the house, relaxing. Ahhh... that's the ticket. Hope you're enjoying yourself today as much as I am me.
-Bea

(Ps. Can you believe that I'm turning twenty-seven tomorrow. Sheesh. When did I get so old? Seriously time... slow the frick down.)

The Joy Of Gift Giving: Birthdays 2014 - Ruby...

Okay, final post of the day, as promised. This is a look at what I got my darling littlest sister Ruby for her 13th birthday. Can't believe that she's an actual teenager now... I guess that means that next year I'll have to shop for her somewhere other than J. Crew Kids. Today we all hung out on the slightly overcast beach. The first official barbecue of the summer. It was fun but after yesterday, I'm really ready to just loaf around and do nothing. Anyway, take a look at Ruby's loot. Hope you enjoy...

The Joy Of Gift Giving: Christmas 2013 - Pt.3

Hi!

Back again with part three of my Christmas gifts. This time, I'm focusing on my darling little sister Ruby, who just discovered Audrey Hepburn and is all about her now. I tired to look for clothes that were Audrey-esque. I think I did a pretty good job! I also bought her the best Audrey movies to watch, I was a little bummed that they didn't have Roman Holiday on Blu-Ray yet but meh, what can you do?
-Bea

(Ps. How awesome is it that they make jr. J. Crew up to a size 12? + Thank God for the tiny footed adults out there who create the demand for adorable Kate Spade shoes in a size 6!)

The Joy Of Gift Giving: Christmas 2013 - Pt.1

Okay, so... I suck. I know I said that this season I would only be taking half a month off of the blog but well... things happen. I'm back now however, trying to make it up to you. Last year I began posting glimpses of the things that I was giving to my family for Christmas but much like everything else I promise on the blog, I gave up half way through... this year I've decided to give it another try. In this post I'll be showing you what I bought for my sisters-in-law (Ben's sisters). I hope that this gives you a bit of a picture of who they are and I hope you enjoy. Look forward to more coming soon as well as (hopefully) an outfit post.
-Bea

(PS. Just a few days until we leave for New York. Excited!)
